My favorite word is APPROPRIATE.
By definition it means, “suitable or proper in the circumstances.”
In the field of Public Relations this word sums it up for me.
To me it means, conducting yourself according to your surroundings.
If you’re doing a media interview for a local tv station you know the audience and you can speak to them.
If it is a community outreach event, you know important it is to show warmth and caring toward those present.
My children also know this is my favorite word. I expect my children to hold themselves accountable for their behavior. They will make mistakes, but they will learn and grow too.
